About us

Who we are

We are considered one of the major players in the European Business Travel market. We operate under the common name of “iAlbatros”, which covers the Polish company of iAlbatros Poland S.A. and the French iAlbatros France SAS.

We provide hotel booking management services to business customers via our own original IT platform of the same name. By providing access to a database of more than 300000 hotels around the world, the system aims to improve transparency of purchasing processes in the scope of business travel, and to rationalise the expenses involved.

The company’s President is Mr Moncef Khanfir — a renowned expert in delivering effective e-Procurement solutions based on the SaaS technology. Moncef Khanfir has over 19 years of experience in the Business Travel industry.

In March 2017 iAlbatros has been sold to Sodexo Group – founded in 1966 by Pierre Bellon, the global leader in services that improve Quality of Life, an essential factor in individual and organizational performance. Sodexo is operating in 80 countries and serves 75 million consumers each day through its unique combination of On-site Services, Benefits and Rewards Services and Personal and Home Services. Through its more than 100 services. Purchase of iAlbatros is a part of Sodexo strategy aimed at creating a comprehensive travel business for its’ customers.

In September 2016, we launched our second product: MAYA – a universal tool for self-arranged LEISURED business travel. Inspired by the navigational comfort characteristic of the best tourist sites, its interface has been specifically designed to maximise user comfort at each stage of business travel.

MAYA offers a new 100 % mobile solution for business travel arrangements, which covers both simple booking procedures and more complex multi-stage travel experience involving a number of participants from different locations in the world. The offer includes travelling by car, plane or train to hotel destinations from the iAlbatros database of 300000 accommodation options.

MAYA can be accessed from any PC, tablet or smartphone, contributing to improved user support.

It should be noted that MAYA seeks to ensure comfort for business travellers and, in particular, for company employees responsible for financing such a project. This is achieved by means of a single consolidated invoice covering the full cost of a business trip for a number of employees, and by offering a variety of expenditure supervision services.

Moncef Khanfir

President of the Board

Moncef Khanfir is the co-founder and CEO of iAlbatros. He is a recognized expert in providing proven e-procurement solutions.

He is a recognized expert in providing proven e-procurement solutions using the latest published technology coupled with strong knowledge in the business travel industry to the benefit of corporations and their partners. Moncef has dedicated over 19 years in the improvement of technology and processes in the travel industry. Co-founder of KDS, now the European leader in software solutions for managing business travel online; Moncef is also the pioneer in the Self Booking Tool area in Europe. Moncef has a Ph.D. in artificial intelligence and is a former university lecturer.



Szymon Pura

Vice-President of the Board

Szymon Pura is a co-founder and a member of the iAlbatros Board. He has a thorough 9-years experience in conducting IT projects.

He’s a software development expert specialized in creating web applications and Business Intelligence tools. He acquired experience in the biggest consulting corporations including: Deloitte, KPMG and Arthur Andersen. He is a graduate of Quantitative Research and Information Systems at Warsaw School of Economics. Furthermore, he completed postgraduate studies in Project Management at Warsaw School of Economics.

Paweł Tarnowski


Paweł Tarnowski has extensive experience in corporate finance and investment operations.

In 2008–2016, before joining iAlbatros Group, Paweł worked for the Kulczyk Investments capital group. His chief responsibilities included corporate governance and new investments. During this period, he delivered a number of successful projects in the field of complex investments, company restructuring and optimisation, provision of debt financing and public market transactions.
He received professional training at PwC’s audit department and EY’s department for transaction advisory services. He has worked with companies operating in a number of different sectors, including: new technologies, energy, raw materials, FMCG and retail. He has graduated from the Warsaw School of Economics, majoring in Finance and Banking, and is currently preparing a doctoral thesis at Warsaw University. He is a qualified chartered accountant and a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).



Jarosław Majstat

Director of Purchasing & Hotels Relationship

Jarosław Majstat is a graduate of Warsaw University of Tourism, Food and Hospitality.

He works in the hospitality industry for more than 24 years. Jarosław started his career in 1990 in the newly opened Marriott Warsaw hotel. Afterwards he worked in the following hotels: Jan III Sobieski, Hyatt Regency Warsaw, Radisson SAS Centrum Warsaw and InterContinental Warsaw. He was responsible for sales and gained substantial experience in this area at all organization levels. From March 2013 Jarosław is a Procurement and Hotel Relationship Manager at iAlbatros. His responsibilities include integration with hotel distribution channels and contracting of hotels for the iAlbatros system.



Tomasz Karwacki

Business Development Director

Tomasz has been connected with the hotel and hospitality sector since 1995.

He started his professional carrier in Warsaw where he used to work as sales manager/director of sales in the Jan III Sobieski, Best Western, InterContinental and Hyatt and most recently as general manager was responsible for pre-opening of 5-star Grand Hotel Tiffi in Iława, Poland.

After dozen of years spent in hotel industry in 2013 Tomasz has joint iAlbatros company in order to develop and lead Sales Department.

Born in 1973, Tomasz holds Masters’ degree in Management of Human Resources from Warsaw University.


Monica Paciotti

Business Development Director Italy

New business activity with an extensive and qualified experience in sales management, new products and business development, gained in 25 years of professional activities in the tourism and trade industry.

Monica Paciotti is a professional with experience working in various commercial channels, including the title of technical director of travel agencies. She has also developed and refined her skills in many areas such as: sales and distribution of travels and hospitality, business travel expert, new product introduction and business development, and marketing & advertising strategies.



Anna Kołodziejczyk

HR director

10-year experience in the area of HRM, which she gained in the HR departments of leading consulting companies.

She conducted projects connected with the key HR processes such as: change management and communication, recruitment, professional trainings as well as development and assessment of employees. She graduate MBA The Polish Open University / Oxford Brooks as well as postgraduate Labor Law studies in the University of Warsaw. Member of the Polish Human Resources Management Association.



Mateusz Wibig

Innovation, Research & Strategic Projects Director

Mateusz is an experienced business and IT consultant. He brings to his work more than ten years’ of proven best practices from large system integrators: CGI and Logica ; world leading consulting companies: Deloitte and Andersen ; Digital services start-ups.

In his previous roles in CGI and Logica Mateusz lead energy & resources and postal & logistics Polish practice. In Deloitte and Andersen he helped regional biggest enterprises and organizations successfully transform their IT architecture to align it with business strategy. In E-Przetarg start-up he designed and built one of the first Polish e-procurement platform for public sector.

Mateusz graduated from the Technical University of Lodz with a master of science and engineer degree in artificial intelligence and software engineering. He is a certified expert in project and service management, corporate architecture, business intelligence and digital services.



Maciej Stasierski

Engineering Team Manager

He graduated Computer Science from the Silesian University of Technology.

Expert in .net technology, SQL server database programming and a certified scrum master. He is responsible for management of software development process and management of development team.


Venkataraman Vassoudevayar

VP Operations & Product Development

Venkataraman with more than 25 years’ experience in the IT world coming from a strong system background after serving National Informatics Centre and Department of Electronics – the biggest Indian national firms.

He continued his Software Engineering research work in Hewlett Packard Grenoble France. He is the pioneer in introducing the API interface to GDS. He was also the Director of professional services for 15 years for deploying Self booking tool for KDS meeting with challenges of introducing SBT change management. Venkat is one of the refined subject matter expert in the travel management systems. He is proficient in defining the right organisation structure and related process to achieve sustainable growth. He is a leader to organize delivery, customer service, support and training to create additional value



Guillaume Daudet

Business Development Director & Strategic Products Manager

Guillaume Daudet manages all French public sector activities, Security Management product line and strategic projects.

In coordination with the Management Board, he is in charge of the partnership policy and strategic projects. In front line with clients, leads and products owner, he guarantees the success of iAlbatros innovative solutions` roll out.

Guillaume Daudet holds a master degree in Computer Science (System Engineering). He split his career between IT consulting (sales engineer then senior consultant) and Public Administration (project director in dematerialization project and administrative simplification).



Ewelina Słomczyńska

Public Sector Key Account Manager

She gained professional experience while working in international environments, including branches of French.

Ewelina Słomczyńska is the Public Sector Key Account Manager. She gained professional experience while working in international environments, including branches of French companies in Poland, and consecutively, at the Polish Embassy in Brussels, where she served as a spokesperson and an expert in promotion and co-operation with the Belgian regional and community administration. At iAlbatros she is the leader of a multilingual team, that lays foundation for a highly qualified Call Center, providing assistance for customers in the range of making hotel reservations, as well as telephone support in operating the web application and post-sales service.

Alexandre Lebrun

Member of Advisory Board

Prior to VirtuOz, he led Product Management at KDS, a leading venture-backed European SaaS provider of travel.

Alexandre Lebrun is the president and CEO of Virtuoz company. Prior to VirtuOz, he led Product Management at KDS, a leading venture-backed European SaaS provider of travel and expense management solutions. Prior to KDS, Alexandre worked at France Telecom in China, conducting technical due diligence on M&A transactions.

He is also a non-executive shareholder of Asiance, an interactive marketing agency he co-founded in Korea in 2001. Alexandre Lebrun holds a M.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique and a M.S.E.E from Telecom Paris (ENST). He also holds a degree in Chinese Language and Culture from INALCO University in Paris.



Herve Gourio

Member of Advisory Board

He started his career as a consultant for the French consulting group SEMA and subsequently as the chief executive of a French manufacturing company.

He was CEO of Carlson Wagonlit Travel until July 2004. In 1976 he became chief executive of Wagons-Lits Tourisme France the next 25 years [endIntro] would transform what was essentially a traditional French travel agency network with some interests abroad into a world scale travel management group with turnover of over US $11 billion.



Jean-Louis Baroux

Member of Advisory Board

Jean-Louis Baroux is the President of APG Global Associates, President & CEO of APG Inc, CEO of JLB Conseil.

He is also the Founder of the Cannes Airlines Forum and the Founder and president of the APG World Connect. Jean-Louis BAROUX has spent his entire career in the air transport. He is specialized since 1970 into the marketing, commercial and distribution aspects. After 14 years dedicated to the French domestic airlines, he creates his own company which will become the major GSA in the French market with offices in several European countries.

He initiates the APG Network in 1991 to be able to represent airlines in every market place. Now the APG Global Associates network is present in 149 countries and serves 240 airlines. Jean-Louis Baroux is now dedicated to the management of the APG Network. He is Officer of the French “Ordre National du Merite”.
